Depression Defeated was born out of a need. My friend WL Sciscoe pointed out to me the damage Depression is doing to the Church. He expressed a desire that I would write an article about depression in my Newsletter. This I did and followed it with this book, Depression Defeated, with a don’t come back road block.

Albert Friend is a 77 year old retired pastor but not a retired minister. He lives in Hamilton, Ohio with his wife Jean. Inspired by many years of Bible Study he has chosen to write about the things in the Bible that are most important.

My First Mission is to show the cure for depression through inspiration of the Bible. Everyone needs this book.

My Second Mission is to inspire a person called into this special ministry to the depressed. You can use God’s tools to replace depression with inspiration. God’s word will inspire depression out of anyone who will believe.


The author is publishing a weekly newsletter called The Apostolic Cutting Edge. It is a publication designed to build faith in the sincere heart living for God on the cutting edge of life. God is just out ahead of the cutting edge inspiring us on. His mercies are awaiting our approach.

I asked him to write an article for the “Apostolic Cutting Edge”. He did, and it was so helpful. Very soon, the book Depression Defeated was in the offing. When I read the manuscript I was elated at the information that was given. They were not just words but words filled with purpose and anointing. Then I knew that he had tasted of the torment and struggle that so many of us had endured. Now we have answers and facts that will carry us into the arms of a loving Christ who is in deed the master of all spirits, there we can find peace and victory.

Albert Friend has indeed dissected the mannerisms of a spirit that has gone from the work place to the high echelons of government to the inner workings and sacred places of the Church. Depression has cost employers billons of dollars, caused divorces and has been the sad commentary to many funerals.

As you read this anointed book think of your friends and acquaintances who would benefit greatly by reading it. Then do them a favor, buy one for them and let them be set free.
